Calderdale & Kirklees Careers is a well-established provider of Information, Advice and Guidance to adults and young people.  Due to significant success in gaining new contracts we are seeking enthusiastic, professional and flexible practitioners to deliver IAG to adults.

The role involves providing careers guidance, advice and information to a wide range of adults, individually and / or in groups, to assist clients in developing realistic plans for educational and career progression.

 

The delivery will be from our centres in Dewsbury, Halifax and Huddersfield, and through community/outreach venues and Jobcentres. 

 

An NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance is a minimum requirement; NVQ Level 4 in IAG is desirable.  Those soon to complete the QCG qualification will be considered.  Experience of working with adults is desirable but not essential.

The role involves engaging and supporting families facing multiple and complex problems enabling them to move closer to employment by providing personalised one to one or group based support.

The ideal candidate must have a flexible and resilient approach and a demonstrable ability to meet the challenges of supporting families in a target driven environment. They must also have experience of developing and teaching a range of family focussed courses including life skills, confidence building, employability and basic skills.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with proven recruitment or sales experience to join our employment and training team. The ideal candidate will play a key role by working closely with local employers to create as many employment and apprenticeship opportunities as possible for our clients.

This is a hands on recruitment role and the successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing new business, developing and maintaining employer relationships, compiling adverts, employer cold calling and working closely with colleagues to support our clients to secure work.

Candidates must have access to a vehicle and hold a full UK driving licence.
